Scholarship Applications for Graduating Albuquerque Students Are Now Available
BEE Scholarships are accepting applications for their inaugural scholarships
Albuquerque, NM March 5, 2015: Burqueños for Education and Empowerment (BEE) is excited to announce that our scholarship application is now available for graduating students for the school year of 2014-2015. If you know a student who is looking for scholarship opportunities to help with the costs of college, please refer them to our website at: beescholarships.org.
“BEE’s first scholarships are now available and we are hoping many college-eager students will take advantage of this great opportunity,” says BEE’s President Matthew Salas. Everyone is aware of the rising cost of college and the financial difficulties college can bring and taking advantage of opportunities such as BEE’s scholarship can be “huge for any student, [and BEE is] excited to be able to offer a little motivation for Albuquerque students to get their post-secondary career off the ground and running,” says BEE’s Treasurer Jerry Sprouse.
All applications are due by 5:00pm on April 1, 2015. BEE will notify individuals if they have been awarded one of the scholarships the week of April 20th. BEE will also be hosting their Scholarship Award Ceremony on April 29, 2015 to commemorate and celebrate this year’s scholarship recipients.
This is BEE’s first year as a non-profit and we have been incredibly successful in collaborating with the community, who has helped with the quick development and growth of BEE. We want to thank everyone that has participated in our events, contributed their time and money, and now ask them to direct graduating high school seniors to apply for this scholarship opportunity. You can do so by asking students to visit our websites scholarship request page by clicking here.
