BEE to Host Bowling Tournament May 16th at Lucky 66 Bowl
Proceeds will go to BEE Scholarship Fund Efforts
Burqueños for Education and Empowerment (BEE) is excited to announce that we will be hosting our inaugural annual bowling tournament. The event will take place Saturday May 16th at Lucky 66 Bowl, located at 6132 4th Street NW 87107. All proceeds will go to BEE’s efforts to provide scholarships for local students.
The tournament will consist of a four-person team playing in a three-game tournament. The team finishing with the highest score will be declared the winner of the tournament. The entry fee will be $120 for each four-person team (fee includes shoes). Registration to play in the tournament will promptly begin at noon, with the tournament commencing at 1pm. Prizes will be given away to the winning team, as well as the highest scoring male and female bowlers.
This is a great way to reach out to our supporters and continue to interact with the community, as BEE General Member Cydelia Chavez stated, “a community that plays together, stays together.” With this bowling tournament, BEE hopes to increase awareness of our efforts to provide students with scholarships. “Bowling is a great way to foster community amongst groups of people who share a common vision for the students of Albuquerque,” said BEE’s Treasurer Jerry Sprouse.
If you would like to participate in the bowling tournament, please contact Matthew Salas at 505-615-0969 or email BEE at beescholarships@gmail.com, with the names of all players and name of the team. Payment for teams must be received not later than registration the day of the tournament.
We hope to see you there!
