BEE's 2nd Annual Bowling Tournament Set for May 7th!

Reminder: BEE Scholarships deadline is April 1st

Albuquerque, NM March 21, 2016: It’s that time of year again; the time of the year where students are preparing for graduation and their futures. For Burqueños for Education and Empowerment (BEE), it is that time of the year to line the pins up for BEE’s second annual BEE Scholarships Bowling Tournament! This year’s tournament will take place at the Fun Connection at Isleta Casino and Resort, located at 11000 Broadway Blvd. SE 87105 on May 7.

The tournament will consist of three games for both teams of four and individual bowlers. The team finishing with the highest total score will be declared the winner of the tournament. The tournament will also reward the highest scoring male and female not part of the winning team.

The entry fee will be $30 for each participant (fee includes shoes). Registration to play in the tournament will promptly begin at 11:00am, with the tournament commencing at noon. All proceeds will go to BEE’s efforts to provide scholarships for local students.

“We had such a great turnout last year and heard a lot of positive feedback from participants, so the bowling tournament has to continue,” said BEE’s President Matthew Salas.

BEE would also like to remind students and supporters that the 2016 BEE Scholarships application deadline is April 1st. Please refer graduating students to request an application and apply by visiting the application request page on BEE’s website. Scholarship winners will be notified no later than May 1st.
